Easy access to the beach, comfortable beds, all the necessities, and one of our favorite spots..the fishing pier with beautiful sunsets. Ladonna was an amazing host. Very responsive and informative, even put away our groceries for us that were delivered before hand. We will definitely be back!"

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Incredible! Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful! Location: Crescent Beach. Approximately 10 miles from Historic downtown St Augustine. Not a super walkable location, but if you're looking for quiet and peaceful, this is your place! Balcony overlooks the ocean and front door overlooks the intercoastal. Noise is very low, we very rarely heard the neighbors from inside."

- Traci, Huntington, West Virginia (Airbnb Guest)

Travel Guide

A few honest notes from a host who actually lives the area, not a list of links.

Crescent Beach vs. St. Augustine Beach: Which One You Actually Want

Most visitors search "St. Augustine Beach" and don't realize there are two distinct stretches of coast with very different personalities. St. Augustine Beach proper sits next to the pier and the bars on A1A — lively, walkable, lots of foot traffic. Crescent Beach, where our condos are located, starts about ten minutes south. It's quieter, has wider sand, and you almost always find a parking spot.

Guests who want nightlife within walking distance should book up by the pier. Guests who want to hear the waves instead of the neighbors — especially families with small kids and couples on a quiet weekend — tend to be much happier on Crescent. Downtown St. Augustine (the historic district, Castillo de San Marcos, the Bridge of Lions) is a 15-minute drive either way, so you give up nothing in terms of access. You just trade the boardwalk vibe for a beach where you can actually hear yourself think.

If you're undecided, check our two units — both face the Atlantic and both back up to the Intracoastal, so you get sunrise and sunset from the same balcony.

What's Already in the Condo (and What to Leave at Home)

Both units are stocked for an actual stay, not a hotel-style overnight. The kitchen has full-size cookware, baking sheets, a coffee maker, basic spices, dish soap, sponges, paper towels, and a starter roll of trash bags. Bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and enough towels for the maximum sleeping capacity. You'll find beach chairs, a cooler, and sand toys in the closet — please leave them for the next family.

What to bring: groceries, beach reading, sunscreen (Florida sun is no joke even in March), a reusable water bottle, and any specialty coffee if you're picky. Publix is about a 10-minute drive and we'll send you the closest one in the welcome message. If you forget something critical, text us — we live nearby and can usually help.

Pro tip: the oceanfront balcony is where most guests end up eating dinner. Bring a small bluetooth speaker if music matters to you. The unit doesn't have one, on purpose — we like the ocean.

Five Things Worth Doing Within 15 Minutes of the Condo

1. The Castillo de San Marcos. The 17th-century Spanish fort right on the bayfront downtown. Climb the walls at sunset — it's free with the standard National Park Service ticket and worth more than the price.

2. St. Augustine Lighthouse. 219 steps up. The view from the top is the postcard you've seen of this town. Tickets and hours at staugustinelighthouse.org.

3. Anastasia State Park. Less crowded than the public beaches, has a tide-pool inlet kids love, and is a 10-minute drive north. Details at floridastateparks.org.

4. Marineland Dolphin Adventure. 15 minutes south on A1A. You can pay extra to actually swim with the dolphins; otherwise the standard tour is plenty. marineland.net.

5. Fort Matanzas. Tiny, free, weirdly underrated. A short ferry across the inlet takes you to a 1740s coquina watchtower most tourists never hear about. nps.gov/foma.

Skip the tourist-trap "ghost tour" pitches downtown unless you're traveling with teenagers who'll find them funny. The history walking tours run by the Visitor Center are a much better use of an evening.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions guests ask most often, answered honestly.

Where exactly is the condo?
Both units are on Crescent Beach, just south of St. Augustine Beach proper. The building is directly oceanfront — you walk down a short path and you're on the sand. The Intracoastal Waterway is on the back side, so you get sunrise over the Atlantic and sunset over the river.
How far is it from historic downtown St. Augustine?
About a 15-minute drive (10 if traffic is light). The Bridge of Lions, Castillo de San Marcos, St. George Street, and all the historic-district restaurants are easy day or evening trips.
Are pets allowed?
No — both units are pet-free. We're not able to make exceptions, including for emotional-support animals. (Service animals as defined by the ADA are accommodated where required by law.)
What's the difference between After Dune Delight and Serenity Now?
Both are 2-bedroom oceanfront condos in the same building, sleep up to 6, and share the same pool and beach access. After Dune Delight is listed primarily on Airbnb; Serenity Now is on VRBO. The decor differs slightly, so pick whichever photos you like better — both have full kitchens, balconies, and the same view.
Is there a pool?
Yes, the building has an oceanfront pool that's visible from the living area and main bedroom. It's well-maintained and rarely crowded.
What's already in the kitchen?
Full-size cookware, baking sheets, a coffee maker, basic spices, dish soap, sponges, paper towels, and a starter trash bag. You bring groceries; we cover the rest. Closest Publix is about 10 minutes away.
Are linens, towels, and beach gear provided?
Yes — bed linens, bath towels, and kitchen towels are all provided for the maximum sleeping capacity. Beach chairs, a cooler, and sand toys live in the closet. Please leave them for the next family.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is after 3:00 PM, check-out is before 9:00 AM. The doors are self-access — you'll get the code via your booking platform on arrival day.
